Landlord in viral video arrested
by Armani Brooklyn · GHANA PAGEThe Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of Bra Yaw, the landlord captured in a disturbing viral video brutally assaulting his wife at their residence in Ofankor, Accra.
The incident which was secretly recorded by a female tenant showed Bra Yaw dragging his wife into their compound, tearing her clothes, and mercilessly beating her with his hands and sticks while she cried and pleaded for mercy.

The shocking footage consequently sparked widespread condemnation as many Ghanaians called for his immediate arrest.
In an official statement, the Ghana Police Service announced that officers moved swiftly to the scene after the video surfaced online.
However, by the time they arrived, the victim had fled the house in fear for her life.

“Efforts are currently underway to locate the victim to ensure her safety and provide the necessary support,” the statement read.
Despite her absence, police were able to apprehend Bra Yaw, who is now in custody assisting with investigations.
The police further revealed that Bra Yaw’s siblings; Grace Kushie Lamptey and Louis Odartey Lamptey are also being investigated for attempting to physically assault the tenant who filmed the abuse.
According to eyewitness accounts, the siblings stormed the tenant’s room in an attempt to attack her for recording and exposing their brother. Their actions have been added to the ongoing inquiry.
