President Donald Trump Explores Flood Ravaged Central Texas

It was earlier this week that President Trump said he was planning on visiting Texas to see the damage for himself of the flash flooding that impacted Central Texas over Fourth of July weekend. The President and the First Lady officially made it to Kerrville a few hours ago. Governor Greg Abbott and Senator Ted Cruz were also in Kerrville for the President's visit.
President Trump Visits Kerrville to Survey Flood Damage
One week after the flash flooding hit Kerrville, Texas. President Donald Trump and the First Lady visited to see the devastation for themselves. As of July 11, the death toll is at 120, with another 161 people still reported missing.

President Trump approved a request from Governor Greg Abbott to extend the major disaster declaration beyond Kerr County, making eight additional counties eligible for financial assistance for recovery efforts.

For anyone interested in helping out the Central Texas flood victims. Several organizations are raising donations locally and also doing benefits around town as well. Our thoughts are with the first responders who have been working around the clock doing what they can to locate the 161 who are still reported as missing in the area.
The number of people reported missing in the aftermath of a natural disaster often turns out to be far greater than the eventual death toll. Worried members of the public, unable to reach a relative or friend, report the name to local authorities and to crowd-sourced online databases, and it gets added to a list that can grow distressingly long.
