Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said the decision was based on the need to accommodate people outside the APC who were willing to contribute to Tinubu’s re-election bid.

APC’s revised 2027 Presidential Campaign Council names Tinubu as head, Abdulaziz Yari as DG, and Wike, Adeleke and Soludo among its high-profile coordinators.

Wike belongs to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Soludo is a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), while Adeleke won re-election as Osun governor in 2026 under the Accord Party.
