The official later reported a second death, saying a woman at Global Hospital had also succumbed to her injuries. Her identity and other details were awaited. 

Mumbai Police registered an FIR based on the student’s father’s complaint, while IIT-Bombay denied the allegation and said no disciplinary action had been initiated.
