Fresh details have emerged on what unfolded inside the cockpit of the Tel Aviv-bound flydubai flight. Sources said Indian captain Smit Machchhar suffered a fractured skull after being attacked by the Omani co-pilot.

Omani pilot Hamam al-Hammami reportedly told investigators that he carried out the violent attack to avenge Gaza and die a martyr. Authorities are now examining his phone, foreign travel and contacts to determine whether he acted alone.
