Police are looking for a specific driver in connection with the acts of sabotage that have brought many train routes to a halt in the central, eastern, and northern parts of the country.

The “material” saboteurs left on the railway in various parts of the Netherlands seem to be long pipes that were fastened to the tracks. A train collided with these pipes near Steenwijk in Overijssel early on Tuesday morning, a spokesperson for ProRail told NOS. No one was injured.
