The dog which killed a nine-month-old baby in Rogiet, Wales, on Sunday was an XL Bully which had been registered before the ban on the breed came into effect.

Gwent Police said the dog involved was a six-year-old XL bully that had been officially registered.

The young boy was understood to have been visiting family relatives in Gwent when the incident unfolded, with officers called to the home at around 6pm
