Pakistan's military says India has fired attack drones into Pakistan and one wounded four soldiers.

India fired attack drones into Pakistan on Thursday, with one wounding four soldiers, the Pakistani military said, a day after missiles struck several locations and killed more than two dozen people. Hours after the first drone attacks, India’s Defense Ministry said it targeted air defense systems in several locations in Pakistan, but did not say whether it used drones. Tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors have soared since gunmen killed 26 people, mostly Indian Hindu tourists, in India-controlled Kashmir last month.

Pakistan said retaliatory strikes at nine different locations today by the Indian air force have in turn killed 26. India insists it targeted 'terrorist infrastructure'. What comes next is critical.

Pakistan has said Indian drone strikes killed one civilian, while adding it intercepted dozens of more drones. India in turn, said it had "neutralized" a Pakistani attempt to hit military targets. DW has the latest.

Both India and Pakistan claimed the foiled attempted drone strike launched by the other side as tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors mount.
