March 17 (UPI) -- A Pakistani airstrike on a drug addiction treatment hospital in Kabul late Monday killed at least 400 people and injured 250 others, according to the Taliban, accusations staunchly rejected as lies by Islamabad.

At least 400 people were killed and 250 injured in an air strike by Pakistan ⁠on a rehabilitation hospital in the Afghanistan capital Kabul, a spokesman for the Taliban government said.

The BBC visited the facility and saw more than 30 bodies being carried out on stretchers.

Islamabad denies targeting the rehab centre and said its strikes were aimed at military installations.

The Taliban government said at least 400 people were killed in a Pakistani airstrike on a drug treatment facility in Kabul. Pakistan denied the accusation, saying its armed forces struck military installations.
