The APC has cleared former Kogi governor Yahaya Bello and other aspirants for Monday’s senatorial primaries in Kogi State, ending days of speculation over his eligibility amid his ongoing EFCC corruption trial.

Na’Allah, a former representative of Kebbi South Senatorial District, announced his withdrawal in a letter dated May 17 and addressed to the APC state chairman in Birnin Kebbi.

The APC screening committee approved 17 aspirants across the three senatorial districts for the primaries scheduled for Monday.
