The ICPC said Mr El-Rufai has been served with the corruption charges and reiterated its commitment to due process and the rule of law.

The ICPC spokesperson, John Odey, said this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

El-Rufai is scheduled for arraignment following his detention, which began after an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on February 16, 2026, and subsequent transfer to the ICPC.

ICPC has finally listed the major allegations against former Governor Nasir El-Rufai and he will answer them at two seperate courts in a latest development.
