The aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford will join the Abraham Lincoln carrier, several guided-missile destroyers, fighter jets and surveillance aircraft that have been moved to the Middle East in recent weeks. 

US President Trump announced that the USS Gerald R. Ford would soon be departing the Caribbean for the Middle East, joining the USS Abraham Lincoln group already in the Arabian Sea. The move increases military pressure amid tense nuclear talks. After meeting troops at Fort Bragg, Trump said a change in leadership in Iran would be ideal and promised to end decades of failed diplomacy permanently.
