Federal investigators are now looking into allegations of sexual harassment and substantial overtime payments involving Jeffrey Maddrey and Quathisha Epps, a source familiar with the probe said.

Jeffrey Maddrey demanded sexual favors, according to subordinates, and the federal authorities are investigating. He had previously been accused of harassment on the job.

Maddrey joined the police force in 1991 at the age of 20 and rose to become chief of patrol in 2021, before being promoted to chief of department last December.

The department declined to comment further on the allegations against Maddrey, stating only that it “takes all allegations of sexual misconduct seriously and will thoroughly investigate the matter.”
