President Trump signed an executive order Friday seeking to dismantle seven more federal agencies, including one that oversees Voice of America.

The move follows Trump signing an executive order on Friday instructing USAGM and six other little-known agencies to reduce their operations to the bare minimum mandated by the law, saying it was necessary to shrink bureaucracy.

The order targeting the agencies, which include one overseeing government-funded media outlets, appeared to test the bounds of the president’s power.
