New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani's office announced on Wednesday that he is keeping Jessica Tisch as commissioner of the New York City Police Department.

NYC Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch has confirmed that she will remain at the helm of the NYPD when Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani enters office in January.

Commissioner Tisch, the current head of the New York Police Department, said she had agreed to serve in Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s administration.
