In a shocking incident, a woman teacher was fatally stabbed on government school premises in Mallipattinam in the district by a youth, leading to some tense moments in the educational institution, police said on Wednesday.

A teacher was killed on campus in Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur district. The accused stabbed the victim for allegedly rejecting his marriage proposal. He was later detained. AIADMK leader Edappadi Palanisamy slammed the DMK government, while the education minister condemned the act and promised action.
