The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday demanded an accommodation for outgoing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying he is entitled to it on account of being the convener of a national party.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi will take oath as Chief Minister of Delhi today at 4:30 pm. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Raj Bhavan - the Lt Governor's residence - and five AAP MLAs will take oath along with Atishi as ministers.

President Droupadi Murmu on Friday appointed Atishi as the Delhi Chief Minister. A gazette notifi- cation by the Union Home Ministry stated: “The President is pleased to appoint Ms. Atishi as the Chief Minister, National Capital Territory of Delhi, with effect from the date she is sworn in.” She also accepted Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation as the CM.
