Vice President of IMANI Africa Kofi Bentil has called for Manhyia South MP Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah to be granted self-recognisance bail, saying the investigation into the MP should continue without requiring him to remain in custody.

IMANI Africa Vice President Kofi Bentil has accused state authorities of using the investigation into Manhyia South MP Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah as a tool for political revenge, describing the case as “pure politics” and a “power play”.

EOCO has dismissed the GH¢50 million bail report for Manhyia South MP Baffour Awuah as false, while his actual bail status remains unconfirmed after reporting.
