President Donald Trump’s border czar says the number of immigration enforcement officers in Minnesota will be seriously reduced.

Feb. 4 (UPI) -- About 25% of federal agents in Minnesota will leave "effective immediately," leaving about 2,000 still in the state, mostly in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Border Czar Tom Homan said Wednesday.

The immigration operations have upended the Twin Cities and escalated protests, especially since the killing of protester Alex Pretti, the second fatal shooting by federal officers in Minneapolis.
