Authorities say flash floods in Spain turned village streets into rivers, ruined homes, disrupted transportation and killed at least 95 people.

Rainstorms caused flooding in a wide swath of southern and eastern Spain, stretching from Malaga to Valencia.

"Unfortunately, there are dead people inside some vehicles," said Spain´s Transport Minister in reference to hundreds of cars and trucks.

One man who saved several people described watching 'bodies floating past'

Experts have said the storm was caused by cold air moving over the Mediterranean’s warm waters.
