Sept. 15 (UPI) -- DNA sequencing in last week's shooting death of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk links suspect Tyler Robinson to the crime, FBI director Kash Patel said.

ST. GEORGE, Utah >> Utah Gov. Spencer Cox on Sunday provided new information about the background and political leanings of the 22-year-old accused of killing Charlie Kirk, saying that the suspect had a “leftist ideology” and had also been in a romantic relationship with a partner who was transitioning from male to female.

WASHINGTON >> The man arrested in the killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk is not cooperating with authorities, but investigators are working to establish a motive for the shooting by talking to his friends and family, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said on Sunday.
