At the UN General Assembly, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia is using citizens from 47 countries, including India, in the war against Ukraine. He urged governments to stop their nationals being drawn into the conflict and pressed for tighter curbs on trade with Moscow.

India has been pursuing the release and repatriation of its nationals serving in the Russian armed forces.
