Delhi L-G orders urgent park safety audits and increased Pink Police presence following a gangrape incident in Kalkaji.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu directed a safety audit of all parks in the national capital and a report within one week, days after a 17-year-old girl was raped by three men at a park in Kalkaji.

He directed that a comprehensive safety audit of all Delhi parks be conducted within a week, with emphasis on adequate lighting, security, regular patrolling and cleanliness.

The proposed 'Pink Force' will have trained women police personnel patrolling schools, colleges, metro stations and other vulnerable locations across Delhi.
