IIT Bombay students held a candlelight march demanding a reconstituted panel in Sahil Wakode's death case. Their protest has widened scrutiny of alleged bias, caste discrimination and the institute's response.

In a video message addressed to IIT Bombay students, Sahil's father said he had been unable to enter the campus despite travelling there two or three times.

Sahil Wakode’s parents have announced an indefinite hunger strike at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan from Monday. They allege police are preventing them from entering IIT Bombay campus and have demanded an independent inquiry into their son’s death.
