Sweden's centre-left opposition parties have won 176 seats ⁠in Sunday's vote for parliament, while the ruling right-wing bloc secured 173 seats, the country's election authority has announced as the counting ‌of ballots ⁠ends.

Sweden's centre-left opposition has defeated the incumbent right-wing governing bloc by just one seat, public broadcaster SVT has said, after 99% of the votes in Sunday's parliamentary election had been counted.

Sweden's left-leaning opposition secured a three-seat majority after the final count. The slim result has triggered Kristersson's resignation and complicated coalition talks.
