DK Shivakumar on Wednesday took oath as the CM of Karnataka in a ceremony at Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot. 

The appointment was announced by AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal.
