Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Thangam Thenarasu is set to present the state budget for the financial year 2025-26 on Friday.

The BJP and AIADMK walked out of the Tamil Nadu Assembly during the Budget 2025-26 session, protesting the DMK’s move to replace the rupee symbol and alleged TASMAC corruption. BJP’s Annamalai called the budget an “eyewash,” while AIADMK raised Rs 1,000 crore TASMAC scam allegations.
