Keir Starmer has said the UK will recognise a Palestinian state by September, unless Israel agrees to a ceasefire.

Malta has announced that it will formally recognise the State of Palestine during the upcoming UNGA in September.

“Our efforts must now focus on how to bring about a two-state solution through purposeful dialogue and diplomacy, and bringing the parties to the conflict to engage directly with each other," Harish said

India told a high-level UN conference that global efforts must focus on a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

He stressed that no single party would be given a veto over Britain’s decision and that the government would assess whether the parties had met these conditions before finalising its position
