The US embassy in Beirut said Lebanon is at a critical crossroads and called for a meeting between Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, despite a fragile situation that many Lebanese would find hard to describe as a true ceasefire. On Thursday, Israeli strikes reportedly killed at least 15 people, with local media suggesting the toll could exceed 30, though that figure remains unconfirmed.
