US President Donald Trump has fired Pam Bondi, a loyalist who oversaw Justice Department upheaval during her role as US attorney general, replacing her with his former personal attorney Todd Blanche.

The Department of Justice has indicated that former Attorney General Pam Bondi won't appear next week before a House panel investigating handling of the Epstein files.

April 8 (UPI) -- Former Attorney General Pam Bondi won't give a deposition to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform next month since she's no longer in charge of the Justice Department, the panel announced Wednesday.

Pam Bondi will not appear for a House Oversight deposition in the Epstein probe, with the DOJ saying she was subpoenaed as attorney general and is no longer in the role.

Pam Bondi will not face a congressional committee because she is no longer the US attorney general, the justice department told the panel.
