(Bloomberg) — Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will return to the site of the July assassination attempt, grappling publicly with the aftermath of the attack that bloodied his ear and upended the campaign.

Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Donald Trump is set to take his 2024 presidential campaign back to Butler, Pa., on Saturday in a return to the scene of the first of two assassination attempts against him in recent months.

The town is undergoing its own healing process ahead of the former president's visit.

Former President Donald Trump plans to return Saturday to the site where a gunman tried to assassinate him in July.

Billionaire Elon Musk will also appear at the rally later.

Trump is returning to the fairgrounds in Butler, the setting of an assassination attempt on the former president in July that left one supporter dead.

Musk has supercharged his support for Trump in recent months.
