The forward scored in the 32nd minute, finishing calmly over Ederson after meeting a precise through ball from Ousmane Dembélé.
According to BBC Sport, the goal took Mbappé to 56 international strikes in 95 appearances, one behind Olivier Giroud’s record of 57.He returned to the starting lineup after recovering from a knee injury sustained at Real Madrid and showed sharpness in the first half.
Mbappé had chances to add to his tally but dragged two efforts wide before being replaced in the 66th minute by Marcus Thuram.

France were reduced to 10 men in the second half when Dayot Upamecano was sent off for a last-man foul on Brazil full-back Wesley just outside the penalty area.Despite the setback, Didier Deschamps’s side remained in control.
They doubled their lead in the 65th minute when Hugo Ekitiké finished from close range with a chipped effort.
The result highlighted France’s depth, but focus remained on Mbappé, who is now on the verge of breaking the national scoring record.
