Mbappe breaks silence on Olise’s Real Madrid transfer links
by Moronfolu Adeyemi · The Eagle OnlineKylian Mbappe has addressed speculation linking France teammate Michael Olise with a move to Real Madrid, insisting it would be unfair to Bayern Munich to advise the winger to leave the German club.
Real Madrid reportedly tracked the 24-year-old during the summer transfer window but ultimately turned their attention to Yan Diomande.
Olise, who joined Bayern Munich in 2024, remained with the Bavarian club and has three years left on his current contract.
Mbappe said he understood the speculation surrounding his international teammate because he had experienced similar rumours during his time at Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking to Sport Bild, Mbappe said: “I heard the speculation. But I know that situation very well myself.
“When I was a PSG player, there were countless rumours. And I think it would be disrespectful to advise a player to move clubs. That would be unfair to Bayern. Especially since Bayern is a great club where Michael can achieve a lot.”
Despite refusing to encourage a move to Madrid, Mbappe praised Olise’s quality and acknowledged the Frenchman’s appeal to top clubs.
Mbappe added: “One thing is clear: Every club in the world would like to have Michael Olise. He’s an outstanding player.”

Olise has established himself as one of Europe’s leading attacking talents since moving to Bayern, with his creativity and technical ability making him an attractive option for major clubs.
His ability to operate from the right flank has also made him an intriguing fit for Real Madrid, whose attacking options include Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Yan Diomande.
For now, however, Olise remains focused on Bayern Munich as he continues his development in Germany.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, will look to integrate their seven summer signings and maintain balance within their squad during the current campaign.
