Haaland vs Ronaldo: Two goal machines meet for first time in Norway-Portugal clash

The League A Group A4 encounter will pit two of the biggest goalscoring names in international football against each other, with both players arriving after helping their countries win their opening games of the competition.
Haaland leads the Nations League’s all-time scoring chart with 21 goals, while Ronaldo has 15 goals in the competition.
The Norway striker comes into the meeting in strong scoring form after netting a brace in his side’s 3-2 victory over Denmark in their opening fixture.
Haaland struck twice in that game, including the goal that restored Norway’s lead and secured the victory.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, featured in Portugal’s 1-0 win over Wales, although João Félix scored the only goal of the game. Ronaldo had a goal ruled out for offside after finding the net.
The contrast between the two forwards adds another layer to the encounter. Haaland has built his Nations League record through remarkable efficiency in front of goal, while Ronaldo brings 15 goals in the competition and the experience of having won the tournament twice.
Both Norway and Portugal opened their campaigns with victories, making Sunday’s meeting an important early contest in Group A4.
UEFA confirmed the fixture as the first time Haaland and Ronaldo will go head to head in the Nations League.
Norway will have to make a defensive adjustment after David Møller Wolfe’s suspension, with Fredrik Aursnes expected to fill in on the left side. Alexander Sørloth also remains sidelined, according to the team news provided.

Portugal, meanwhile, have fitness concerns over Nuno Mendes after his muscular fatigue in the win over Wales, while João Neves could replace Rúben Neves in midfield.
Ronaldo is expected to lead the attack alongside João Félix, who scored the winner against Wales.
The match kicks off at 7:45pm WAT at the Ullevaal Stadion, With both nations chasing another victory, all eyes will be on Haaland and Ronaldo in their long-awaited first meeting.
