by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineEdo Queens have emerged champions of the 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.
This was after a crunchy game played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The game saw the Benin side hold the defending champions, Bayelsa Queens, to a goalless draw in the decisive Super Six clash on Sunday.

Needing only a draw to lift the trophy, Edo Queens produced a disciplined performance against a determined Bayelsa Queens side that entered the final day hoping to retain the title.
The encounter ended without goals, but the outcome sparked celebrations among the Edo Queens players and technical crew.
