Mysuru: World No. 1 Jannik Sinner of Italy has reached a Wimbledon final for the first time, thrashing 7-time champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia in straight sets in the Men’s Singles semi-final yesterday. Sinner broke Djokovic five times over the course of the match, winning 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.

Sem Verbeek and Katerina Siniakova kiss the Mixed Doubles Trophies after defeating Joe Salisbury and Luisa Stefani in the Wimbledon final in London on July 10. The Dutch-Czech pair held its nerve in a tight 7-6(3), 7-6(3) final victory against home favourite Joe Salisbury and Brazil’s Luisa Stefani.

As a result, Sinner sets up a title clash against World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz in the final tomorrow (July 13). As for 38-year-old Novak Djokovic, doubts continue over the Wimbledon future of the 24-time Grand Slam winner.

Earlier in the day, World No. 2 Alcaraz of Spain defeated fifth seed Taylor Fritz of US 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 and 7-3 in four sets to book his spot in the final.
