Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the 2025–26 season, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

It marks the second straight MVP award for the Canadian guard, placing him among an elite group of just 14 players in league history to win the honor in consecutive years.

Gilgeous-Alexander edged out fellow finalists Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama after another dominant regular season in which he led Oklahoma City to one of the league’s best records.
