Get your Carabao Cup winners souvenir special as Newcastle United make history at Wembley
by Ross Gregory · ChronicleLiveThey've only gone and done it! Newcastle United have ended 70 years without a domestic trophy by winning the Carabao Cup at Wembley on a glorious day in the club's history.
Eddie Howe and his men beat all the odds - and opponents Liverpool - to claim the club's first piece of silverware since the 1955 FA Cup, and their first trophy overall since the 1969 Fairs Cup.
Goals from Dan Burn and Alexander Isak either side of half-time ensured a memorable 2-1 victory for the Magpies despite a late Federico Chiesa consolation effort.
It is a historic moment for the club and the Chronicle are marking it with a special souvenir print special. It hasn't happened in so many years that fans and readers will be eager to get their hands on a memento of the incredible day.
