Newcastle United told €40m+ for signing – €35+5m just been rejected
by Pedro Reinert · Sport WitnessNewcastle United target Allan Elias just had an offer rejected by Brazilian side Palmeiras.
As we covered earlier, Napoli submitted an offer worth €35m plus €5m in bonuses. Now according to Globo Esporte, the club immediately rejected that proposal.
The response reflects Palmeiras’ firm stance.
As reported throughout this case, the club do not plan to sell Allan at this stage. Internally, they see the 21-year-old Newcastle United target as one of the most important players in the squad and continue to prioritise sporting objectives for the 2026 season.
Palmeiras have kept a consistent line in negotiations. They previously turned down a €20m plus €5m in bonuses bid from Zenit. Now, they want to place Allan in the same category as recent high-profile sales. Club sources insist that only figures above €40m would start any serious talks.
That position directly affects the Magpies.
Newcastle United yet to really go for it
The Premier League side have tracked Allan for months and were recently linked with an “immediate” agreement. However, unlike Napoli, they have not followed up that interest with a concrete proposal so far.
Newcastle United were expected to make their interest into something more concrete, however, that hasn’t happened yet.
For now, Napoli have acted and failed, Palmeiras remain firm, and Newcastle United continue to watch from the sidelines.
