“I feel great” – Nottingham Forest player questioned at airport ahead of transfer

by · Sport Witness

Sporting showed interest in Nottingham Forest’s Jota Silva but were unable to secure his services in the summer window.

The Lions agreed a deal with the Premier League club minutes before the window closed and weren’t left with sufficient time to conclude the necessary paperwork related to the operation. Therefore, his move to Sporting didn’t go through.

Silva doesn’t have a future at Nottingham Forest and Beşiktaş have opened their door for him as they can still sign him as the transfer window in Turkey closes later today.

Multiple claims from Portugal and Turkey have reported the Black Eagles have agreed a deal with the Reds to sign the winger on loan with an option to buy set at €15m.

The 26-year-old has already arrived in Turkey to complete a move to Beşiktaş and Sporx took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a picture of him outside the airport.

Jota Silva also spoke to the Turkish media to express his feelings upon his arrival in the country and has also sent a message to the Beşiktaş supporters, with NTV Spor relaying his comments.

“I feel great. I’m excited to be here. I’m proud to be part of a great team like Beşiktaş. My message to our fans is to continue their support and passion for us. Because we need them. My teammates, we will all give our all on the pitch,” he said.
