Leeds helped needed for summer transfer – Player has flipped things around

by · Sport Witness

Valencia need help from Leeds United if they are to sign Largie Ramazani on a permanent basis in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to El Desmarque. The Spanish outlet cover the forward today. He has revived his form at the Mestalla after a difficult few months.

He joined on loan from Leeds in the summer but struggled to impress, finding himself at the bottom of Carlos Corberán’s rotation in the first half of the season. A positive run of form has now put him in the spotlight

Ramazani now key

Now he’s happy, always smiling and crucially, scoring goals. The Leeds loanee has been key in two of Valencia’s three victories in the last month. He’s even among the nominees for February goal of the month.

It means the talk about him has completely changed. There was talk about him leaving in the January transfer window.

Indeed, Sport Witness covered a report at the beginning of January stating that Valencia had considered cancelling the loan deal from Leeds. There’s no such talk now. Now Ramazani is smiling and doing somersaults when he scores.

Attention has now turned to the summer. Unfortunately for Valencia, the club is unlikely to extend the loan

Leeds changes required

For that to happen, Leeds would have to change their initial approach to the deal. When they loaned him out in the summer, they didn’t include a purchase option.

In fact, they added penalty clauses to bring him back if he didn’t get consistent playing time.

They, ultimately, weren’t activated and Ramazani has now turned things around. That’s to the benefit of everyone. But Valencia’s finances will mean a permanent deal is difficult in the summer.

And they’ll also need Leeds to change their stance for a loan deal as well. Whether Valencia can convince those in charge at Elland Road remains to be seen. Perhaps it will depend on whether Ramazani can continue flipping things around.
