‘€25m is on the table’ – Bournemouth pushing for deal, player interested in transfer

by · Sport Witness

Bournemouth attempted to sign Inter Milan’s Luis Henrique in the January transfer window. The Cherries are now pushing for a summer deal.

The Brazilian joined the Nerazzurri from Marseille last summer. The deal came amidst a lot of hope, especially as the versatile winger impressed quite a bit in France. He contributed to 15 goals in 33 Ligue 1 games in his last campaign, earning a switch to Italy.

Things are much different in Italy. He was left on the bench multiple times in the first half of the season. Sport Witness covered how keen Bournemouth and other clubs were in January.

Inter were pushing to sign Ivan Perisic as a possible replacement. That deal never went through, leading to the Cherries being blocked from Luis Henrique.

Things haven’t changed much, as L’Interista go into detail about the wing-back.

Bournemouth leading the race

In January, the likes of Aston Villa and Everton also appeared keen on the player. Now, it is only Bournemouth who are pushing for a deal.

The outlet make it clear that ‘€25m is on the table’ from Bournemouth, who can now seal the deal. This is because Inter won’t object to earning money like that.

Even the player would be quite happy with the move, having expressed a willingness to play in England. If other Premier League clubs move for him, he would consider them as well.

Inter don’t see Luis Henrique’s sale as a priority but have identified Marco Palestra as a replacement. If they earn €25m from Bournemouth, that can be used to sign the Atalanta wing-back.

Our take: Bournemouth should keep pushing

There are indications that Inter will be keen on selling the Brazil international. The 24-year-old has shown inconsistency across the campaign, appearing slack when it comes to finding the final ball.

But he has the running ability which can thrive in the Premier League. Bournemouth have a host of players of that type, with Luis Henrique likely to add more of it.

A deal worth €25m can work quite well, especially considering how well he did in France.
