Antony is expected in Seville on Wednesday or Thursday to complete a loan move from Manchester United to Real Betis.

That’s according to AS, who report that a meeting today has seen the final details of a loan deal concluded.

We reported earlier today that Antony’s agents had met with Betis this afternoon to discuss the transfer. They were filmed at a restaurant with those officials.

AS now follow that up, reporting that Antony’s arrival at the Spanish club is ‘a matter of hours’. The Brazilian winger is expected in the capital of Andalusia between Wednesday and Thursday.

The details of the negotiation with Manchester United was closed today, with a last meeting taking place between Antony’s agents and Betis’ senior sports management.

Manu Fajardo, Betis Sports director, Joaquín, their CEO and two other members of the board met with Junior Pedroso and Emerson Santos, Antony’s agents, to close the deal over lunch. They then showed the club’s facilities to Antony’s representatives.

This meeting was ‘the last step’ before Antony was given the green light to travel to Betis. He will then sign loan deal from Manchester United. That loan will last until the end of the season. Reports earlier today stated that it will not include a purchase clause, and Betis will pay €2m of his wages.

He will be one of several signings, with Betis also working to sign a full-back and a left-back before the end of the transfer window.
