Wolves ‘seriously considering’ making move for signing – Officials have travelled

by · Sport Witness

Wolves have emerged as a new contender to sign Royal Charleroi SC’s Yacine Titraoui.

That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, and he covers the latest on Wolves in his column for Sky Sport CH.

The Algerian joined the Jupiler Pro League side from Paradou AC in July 2024 and settled in quickly in Europe.

He played 62 matches and contributed 10 goals [six goals and four assists] of which four goals and two assists are from 30 matches this season.

Wolves internally approve Titraoui

The midfielder’s performances for the Belgian club have caught the Premier League side’s attention. The journalist states Wolves’ head of recruitment is personally leading the transfer pursuit.

This is after Wolves scouts had laid the groundwork. These officials had repeatedly scouted the 22-year-old in Belgium, which Tavolieri claims is a sign of their concrete interest.

Tavolieri claims Rob Edwards’ side are ‘very interested’ in Titraoui and are ‘seriously considering making a move’ in the summer.

He adds: ‘His [Titraoui’s] work rate, technical ability, and drive to attack perfectly match the profile Wolverhampton is looking for to strengthen their midfield.’

Competition and relegation threat

Wolves are now bottom of the table, 17 points behind 17th placed Nottingham Forest. In case of a relegation, Titraoui won’t move to Molineux as he doesn’t want to play in the Championship.

In addition to this, Edwards’ side will also face competition from other English clubs to sign him.

Earlier this month, Sport Witness covered claims of both Leeds United and Sunderland’s interest in the Algerian. Daniel Farke’s side are ready to make an approach to bring him to Elland Road after this season.

Tavolieri makes no mention of another club apart from Wolves but reports competition from England.

He states: ‘If the club stays in the Premier League, discussions could quickly intensify and lead to a concrete offer. On the other hand, if they are relegated, other English clubs could make their move, particularly an ambitious newly promoted side looking to strengthen their squad to compete in the top flight.’
