New Tottenham offer to arrive in coming hours – Agent tells club bid on way
by Pedro Reinert · Sport WitnessTottenham are not giving up on Souza, with reports from Brazil stating that a new proposal should reach Santos in the coming hours.
The development places Spurs firmly back at the centre of the negotiations after an earlier bid failed.
Journalist Lucas Musetti reports that Tottenham plan to submit an improved offer worth €15m. Last week, Santos rejected a €10m proposal for 70% of the player’s economic rights and countered with a demand of €17m – less than the previously reported €20m.
Although the new figure remains below that request, the report claims the Brazilian club now lean towards acceptance.
This signals a clear change in stance from Santos. The club had previously closed the door on all talks and insisted on keeping the left-back. Tottenham’s willingness to raise their offer has narrowed the gap and reopened the discussion.
The player’s representatives also play a key role. Agent Giuliano Bertolucci has assured Santos that Tottenham will formally submit the revised bid, which has increased confidence that negotiations are progressing.
Souza remains under contract until 2028 and has secured a regular role in the first team. Tottenham’s renewed push shows their intent to close the deal before further competition emerges.
We’ll see if Santos accept the €15m offer or press again for €17m, but Spurs have now moved well beyond their earlier approach.
