Beşiktaş president Serdal Adal has told the Turkish media there is interest from England for Tammy Abraham.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a transfer to Aston Villa, and there’s been reports an offer has been tabled. He was on loan with the Premier League club during the 2018/19 season.

Bein Sports Turkey have covered comments made by Adal when he quizzed about Abraham’s future and Villa’s pursuit of the player.

The Beşiktaş president confirmed an offer has arrived for the former Chelsea attacker, additionally there’s interest from another, unnamed, English side.

He went on to say no Aston Villa player has been offered as part of a possible deal, but it’s something his coaching staff are keen on.

“There is an offer for Abraham. We do not favour Abraham’s departure. There are no other players offered. If he comes, we will sit down and think about it. Another team from England is interested. We don’t think of sending it somewhere. We will see what will come our way. There is no player in the offer we received. There are players that the technical staff want from Aston Villa. We conveyed it to them,” said Adal.

Yesterday, we covered reports Aston Villa have tabled an offer for Abraham. They’ve also offered the forward a salary of £4m after tax. Nottingham Forest are in the race to sign him, but a transfer to Villa Park seems to be his priority.

This week Aston Villa winger Evann Guessand was reportedly offered to the Black Eagles as part payment. The player’s agent then dismissed any chance of his client leaving Villa Park in January.

Indeed, he told the Turkish media: “Guessand will definitely stay at Aston Villa. We have no intention of going anywhere, 10000%,”

Since signing for Beşiktaş in the summer, Abraham has impressed, scoring 13 goals in 26 games. Despite his form, the Istanbul side could make a quick profit on the Englishman.
