‘Nearly €25m’ offer from Paris for Sunderland player – Manager makes move collapse
by Naveen Ullal · Sport WitnessRégis Le Bris has transformed Sunderland since arriving at the Stadium of Light in June 2024. The Frenchman helped the Black Cats secure promotion to the Premier League after eight years of absence.
Sunderland have enjoyed a good run in the top flight. They are eighth in the table, three points behind fourth placed Liverpool and are trailing sixth placed Chelsea by a point.
Le Bris has had a direct role in Sunderland’s signings. In September, Wilson Isidor said a 30-minute conversation with the manager was key for him to join the English club.
The 25-year-old initially move to the Stadium of Light from Zenit Saint Petersburg on loan in August 2024. Sunderland made his stay permanent last year and handed him a contract until 2028.
Isidor has scored four goals from 19 Premier League matches this season and it would have been enough to tempt Paris FC. That’s at least what French journalist Romain Molina is reporting. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a short update.
According to him, the Ligue 1 side have offered ‘nearly €25m’ for the former AS Monaco man, likely in the winter market. However, the move will not go through mainly because of Paris FC manager Stéphane Gilli.
The journalist claims Gilli wasn’t keen on the Ligue 1 side spending close to €25m on the Sunderland player. They are still searching for a striker and have Stade de Reims’ Patrick Zabi in their list.
Molina reports Paris FC have offered €20m for the Ivorian, who joined Stade de Reims for around €100,000 in 2025.
