Dan Ndoye worry – Swiss source now pushes La Liga move for Nottingham Forest player
by Sean Lunt · Sport WitnessNottingham Forest worry over Dan Ndoye’s future should likely be growing.
Blick provide the latest on the winger today. They cover transfer interest in the forward, and a potential exit from Nottingham Forest this month.
According to their information, Atletico Madrid have joined Inter Milan in showing an interest in the player. They say that he remains a player who is held in high regard by a number of clubs, despite his struggles in the Premier League.
Inter Milan and Atletico have even made enquiries with Nottingham Forest about the terms of a potential loan deal. Nottingham Forest, though, aren’t going to make him available on the cheap.
They paid €42m for him and need to recoup that. “Nottingham will hardly open the door, but things move quickly in football,” an insider told the newspaper. Many factors need to align before any deal can be considered.
It’s frustrating for Ndoye, who was highly sought after in the summer. Nottingham Forest won the race for him eventually, beating the likes of Napoli.
He started the season as a starter but has been in and out since as Nottingham Forest have been embroiled in turmoil. Numerous reports have linked him with an exit, and now Switzerland are getting involved. That’s surprising as they don’t tend to indulge themselves in rumours too much.
Nottingham Forest may have need for Ndoye concern
Italian reports were relatively easy to dismiss. There was surprise in the country that Ndoye picked Nottingham Forest over Serie A clubs who were keen, most prominently champions Napoli.
Therefore, it was assumed he couldn’t be happy with his move and would like an Italian return. Those slants were inevitable from Italy.
However, Switzerland is very different indeed. As explained, the media there doesn’t really push transfer rumours to the extent of elsewhere in Europe. That they’re citing a source would suggest it’s coming from someone with knowledge of the Swiss international.
Moving in January remains unlikely, but a switch in the summer looks a decent bet.
