Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the picture to sign BK Häcken’s Silas Andersen in the summer.

Last month, Sport Witness covered claims from Sweden that Wolves have added the 21-year-old to their shortlist.

On April 3rd, the midfielder responded to claims of interest from Wolves, Rangers and FC Köln.

“I’m really happy to play here. This is where I had my breakthrough, and it’s still ongoing. We made a plan when I moved here, which was that I would play a lot of games and develop myself,” he said at that time.

The Danish media stated the plan is that he’s agreed with BK Häcken to change clubs after this season.

He has been a regular for the Allsvenskan side, and his league stats this year are as follows:

  • Appearances: 3
  • Starts: 3
  • Total minutes: 270
  • Interceptions per game: 0.3
  • Tackles per game: 2.3
  • Possession won (final third): 0.3
  • Ball recovered per game: 5.3
  • Clearances per game: 1.7
  • Duels won per game: 10.7

Wolves interest backed up

Sportbladet have a report on interest from France and Germany in BK Häcken’s Abdoulaye Doumbia.

RC Strasbourg, OGC Nice, Stade Rennais and unnamed German clubs have scouted the 18-year-old. The Ligue 1 trio are already in talks with him while Bundesliga sides could make an offer.

Towards the end, the newspaper focuses on Doumbia’s teammates, Silas Andersen and Adrian Svanbäck. The Swedish club are expected to make a few sales in the summer and the latter two are candidates.

Andersen and Svanbäck are attracting interest from several clubs but only Wolves are named. The Premier League side have sent a scout to follow him in action for the Swedish club while Trabzonspor are in the mix.

To sum it up, Wolves are showing interest in Andersen, who has made a plan with his club to leave after this season. BK Häcken are also expecting to raise funds through his exit in the next window.
