Optimism Liverpool exit will happen – Talks ongoing, player opens exit door
by Kaustubh Pandey · Sport WitnessOn Tuesday, Juventus’ interest in Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa was front-page news in Italy.
Corriere dello Sport and Gazzetta dello Sport were confident that the two clubs had held talks. TuttoSport also indicated the same, with all the newspapers suggesting the Reds were only interested in the Italian’s permanent exit.
More updates have emerged today and Juve are growing confident of bringing the winger back from Liverpool.
Gazzetta report ‘contacts continue’ between the two clubs. The Italian giants have been convinced for the last ten days that the 28-year-old is the man to improve their attack.
What is most important is Chiesa is now pushing to join the Old Lady. He feels that he has unfinished business in Turin after his exit in 2024. The presences of Giorgio Chiellini and Luciano Spalletti are proving key, as Chiesa has a lot of admiration for both.
Confidence growing on Liverpool exit
The report claims that the attacker still has an excellent relationship with Liverpool and isn’t forcing their hand. But if it was down to him, he would be back at Juventus already.
This is giving the Bianconeri quite a bit of hope, encouraging them to keep talks active. There is belief that both parties want to find a compromise over a deal, with Liverpool having only opened to a permanent exit. Juve are pushing for a loan.
Despite the gap between the parties, confidence is rising that they can meet halfway.
Mohamed Salah’s return after the AFCON can quicken the process, as Liverpool may then let Chiesa depart on Juve’s terms.
